Many times we think of the past, and think to ourselves, What if….
There’s a saying that was often used back then in secondary school, 好马不吃回头草. trans. A good steed doesn’t eat grass which it has stepped past. I often heard this line when friends of mine talked to me about their break ups, and how they feel that once broken up, things should remain that way and never be given a chance again. Personally, I feel it IS true that certain things was done, the cracks will forever be visible. Yet at the same time, I feel that people should be given/give chances too.
Anyway, enough philosophy. This song is about not looking back. Sometimes people dwell on the past too much, they miss out on what’s happening, and become unprepared for what’s to come.
I had originally wanted to keep the arrangement really simple with just a piano, but I had this urge to pick up my violin and feature it more in my works. So I played a 2 part violin arrangement. Yup, that’s me playing a real violin in this song. :) Enjoy.
